ODYSSEY

Preschool Enrollment Procedures

• Pre-enrollment for 2008-09 begins November 1, 2007. The process begins with a phone call to the director, Ruth Luke at 847-295-1214.  This call will place your child on the January registration mailing list.  It is necessary to call for all new students as well as for siblings of current or past enrollees.
 
• Parent informational sessions will be held on Wednesday, December 5th at 9:15 AM and Tuesday, January 8th at 12:30 PM in the South Parlor.  These sessions last approximately 45 minutes and include a PowerPoint slide show, Q & A session and Preschool tour.  Complimentary childcare is available on request.

• All 2008-09 enrollment materials will be mailed out on Friday, January 11, 2008 to all families on the mailing list, as well as to all currently enrolled returning students.  These forms must be returned no later than Friday, January 18th with the $135 non-refundable* registration fee enclosed.  This deadline is for both new and preferred enrollees.
 
• Parents will be notified by mail of their child’s enrollment status in mid-February.  Currently enrolled returning students, church members and siblings have priority, in that order.  All other enrollees will be selected by lottery with attention to gender balance in classes.
  
*(If your child is wait-listed, you have the option of notifying the Preschool of your decision to remove your child from the list by March 1st, at which time your $135 registration fee will be refunded. However, should you decide to remain on the wait list, the registration fee will be refunded only if no space is available at the start of Preschool in September).

• Parent Orientation will be held on Thursday, April 10th.  This is an important meeting when additional enrollment documents will be distributed.  These completed papers plus first quarter tuition must be returned by Monday, May 5th to maintain your child’s enrollment status.

• Intake/Orientation will be Wednesday, September 8, 2008.
