Dear Preschool Families-

 

This year more than ever, the funds raised throughout this school year from these fundraising activities will help our Preschool thrive. By supporting these efforts you will allow the Preschool to provide: scholarships, enrichment training for staff, and to make capital equipment improvements in the classrooms.

 

The First Presbyterian Church is a 501(c)(3) organization. We depend on your generosity to help fulfill our mission, and tax receipts will be provided for all donations.  Thank you in advance for giving back! 

 

Family Night Sleepunders

Bring the whole family for a night of fun!  This fall, we are hosting our annualFriday Night Family Sleepunder events. Children are encouraged to wear their pajamas to the event where they will watch a movie with their classmates. Afterwards, an ice cream social will be held for guests to mingle. We are hoping for 100% class participation this year, so don’t miss out.  Sleepunders will be held on the following dates:

 

The Adventure Sleepunder is on Friday, September 30th. 

 

The Discovery Sleepunder is on Friday, October 21st.  

 

The Odyssey/Expedition Sleepunder is on Friday, November 4th. 

 

All Sleepunders will be held in Fellowship Hall from 6:30pm-8:00pm.  We request a donation of $25 per family to be collected at the event. 

 

Fall Cocktail Party

We are pleased to announce all parents will be invited to our newest social event -- the First Pres Preschool Fall Cocktail Party on Saturday, November 19th. A formal invitation will be mailed to Preschool families closer to the date. For questions or ways you can volunteer, please contact Karen Conley at conleykaren@mac.com.  

 

Shop & Share

The Preschool has partnered with Dominick's grocery stores for their Dominick’seScrip Fundraising Program. Once your card has been registered with our fundraising team, every time you shop you will be contributing to the Preschool. To register your Dominick's Preferred Card or to add the card of neighbors or relatives across the nation, please contact Kristin McCain at kristinmccain@gmail.com.

 

Giving Tree

This year’s Giving Tree donations will be earmarked for scholarships and teacher training.

We trust everyone has felt the impact of the economy and knows how important these need based scholarships are especially this year. We also take great pride in the Preschool’s teaching staff and continuing education for our teachers is a top priority, so please check out the Giving Tree during your next visit.

How does it work? Simply take an amount from the Giving Tree and put it in Director Ruth Luke’s mailbox, along with your name and check. A tax receipt will be mailed to you upon receipt, and your family's name will commemorated on the Giving Tree. Donations of any amount, large or small, are greatly appreciated.

 

Preschool Beach Towels

Beach towels will be sold at events throughout the year and are available for $20 by contacting Julie Peters at julielpeters@gmail.com.

 

Other Ways to Contribute

Library book donations are welcome on an ongoing basis, year-round.  New or gently used books are a great way to help the school and are a fun way to commemorate a birthday or special event.
