This stewardship season, as we celebrate our 150th
anniversary as a church, we are asking for your Commitment of your heart
and
Commitment of your treasure.
First, commitment of your
heart. Commit to
worshipping God, reading and following scripture, living the Word of God
every day.
Second, commitment of your
treasure. Commit to a
pledge.
Our goal is 100% participation of all church members. If you
have pledged in the past, we thank you for your generosity! In this
time
of increasing need, if you are able, we also respectfully ask you
to prayerfully consider an increase of 6% in your pledge.
The vital mission of this church depends on the
pledges of its members and friends. We invite you to pick up a
Commitment brochure in the church office or view it here. These are challenging times for all of
us.
All pledges, large and small, matter equally in God's eyes and to
our church.
"In difficult economic
times such as these, the work that our Church does
is more important than ever – both within and outside of our walls.
We pledge every year because we know this work is only possible
through the gifts and talents of the congregation.
On a deeper level though, it feels good to be generous with our giving
and in knowing that we are truly helping others
with our pledge and fulfilling the vision of this Church."
- Joe, Melissa, and Ryan Burger
“We joined 1st Presbyterian Church in 1981 and
made it a focus of our family.
In our experience we have found
meaningful
worship, group nurturing,
and commitment to caring for the
world at large.
We give because we are grateful--grateful for what the
church has been for
us in the past, and grateful for the opportunities
of the future.”
- Ed and Nancy Hamming
All gifts, great and
small,
make a difference!
